Sweet Little Dress

I had been trying to find a pattern for a dress/shirt like this forever. I came across a pattern that I liked, but again it was for personal use only, and I really wanted the option to sell what I made if I wanted. Well I couldn't find anything else I like better so I just go the pattern here: www.etsy.com/shop/leilaandben. I bought the combo pack for the pattern that's 3months-12months and then another pattern for 12 months-5T. I guess I'll just have to make them for Mckynlee and as gifts. But I do love how they turn out. You can also get the pattern at http://www.youcanmakethis.com/. Here are the ones I have made:

I kind of adjust it to what I want. I made some as dresses and then I have shortened some to make as shirts. I do love that fact that once they are too short to be worn as a dress they can be a shirt. Plus, you can always put a long sleeve shirt under them for the winter. The dress above is using Amy Butlers Lotus line- Full Moon Polka Dot-lime for the sleeves and then Lacework-sage for the main part.

Very cute to pair up with a pair of jeans or a pair of leggings. The shirt above is fabric from Joann's.

This is the first one I made.

I did add something on my own to a couple. The band that wraps around the top with a coordinating fabric, like in the picture above.

This one I made a matching headband. The fabric is from Heather Bailey's Pop Garden Collection. I used Pop Daisy- green for the main fabric and the band is Tiled Primrose-turquoise.

These were a baby shower gift, the fabric is from Joann's on both these dresses.

A dress with the band/tie. This fabric is from Heather Bailey's Pop Garden collection. I used Zag Striped-red and Sway-Brown.

These I made for my friend Amy who is having twins. Left over fabric from the car seat covers I made her. The fabric is from Joann's not sure the name. I made the matching clips. The clip design is from my friend Katie, so I need to find out if I can do a tutorial on them for her.
