Birdie Sling

My friend Melissa bought this pattern to make for gifts. I loved how her bags turned out. So I bought a pattern for myself. You can purchase the pattern at several place like quilt home or etsy. I just got mine at http://www.quilthome.com/. It's an Amy Butler pattern, you can buy it here.

I made this bag for my mom for her birthday. I used Amy Butler's Lotus Collection. The strap is Full Moon Dot-Lime and the main part of the back is Lacework-sage.

This one I made for my sister for Christmas. I used Amy Butler's Midwest Modern Collection for the main part of the bag, martini-grey. And for the handle I used Amy Butler's Solids Collection and used Slate.

And of course I had to have one of my own. I use it as a church back. My main fabric is from Amy Butler's Daisy Chain Collection, I used Water Garden-Forest. For the strap I found a coordinating solid as Joann's.
